This combined with its beautiful attributes such as its history, food , winery, the mount Etna, beaches, architecture attract many tourists every year, with the summer being the highest season of the touristic activity. Also, many students come from abroad to study in Palermo’s university.

Sicily houses many UNESCO World Heritage Sites comparing to the size of it, such as the Temple of Agrigento, the Villa Romana del Casale of Piazza Armerina, the Aeolian Islands and the famous and historic colony Syracuse.
